The client originally wanted something a bit more complicated, but I explained how simplicity would be better in this situation. Initially, I presented him with just the text (the colors were his choice). He said it was to simple, which was understandable. Listening to his music, I realized his playful nature & decided on a good ol’ paint splat in the background to both bring out the text more and present a more proportioned appearance WHILE adding a fun factor to it! It worked out well & he enjoys it.
